Terms of use

These terms supplement Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), which governs your license to the WaySage app. If these terms conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA controls.

Using WaySage

WaySage is a walking audio companion that discovers nearby places and creates source-grounded narration. You may use the app for personal, lawful purposes in accordance with these terms, the Standard EULA, and applicable law.

Walk safely

WaySage is not a navigation, emergency, accessibility, or safety service. It does not provide turn-by-turn directions or guarantee that a route, place, street, or area is safe or accessible. Stay aware of traffic, terrain, property boundaries, local rules, and your surroundings. Stop playback and use the app only when it is safe to do so.

Generated and third-party content

Narrations are generated on your device from retained public-source material. WaySage is designed not to invent a story when usable sources are unavailable, but public sources and generated summaries may still be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Do not rely on WaySage for medical, legal, historical verification, safety, or other high-stakes decisions.

Source and image-credit links lead to services and content operated by others. Their terms, licenses, availability, and privacy practices apply to them.

Location and connectivity

A current location is required to start a guided walk. Internet access is required to discover uncached places and retrieve source material. Background location is optional but enables an active guide to remain relevant while the screen is locked. Carrier or network charges are your responsibility.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how the app uses location, local content, direct public-service requests, and support messages.

Intellectual property and licenses

WaySage and its original interface are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Public source material, images, open-source software, and the bundled language model remain subject to their own licenses and attribution requirements. See Third-party licenses.

No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law and the Standard EULA, WaySage is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law and the Standard EULA, WaySage's provider is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or losses arising from unsafe walking, reliance on content, third-party services, connectivity, or device conditions. Rights that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.

Changes and termination

We may update the app or these terms. You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. Your right to use the app ends if you materially violate the applicable license terms.
